Twelve and unders go to WOSA short course!!

Last weeks swim meet was lots of fun! The 12 and unders at the meet were Sarah, Olivia, Mackenzie, Holly, Chloe, Hannah, Natalia, Kirstin, Logan, Madeline, Alexandra, Shaylin, Mary, Madison, Julia, Grace, Mabel, Rosie, Alex, Josh, Derek, Adrian, Nick L., Gray, Nick T. And Luc.

That's a total of 26 people.

Two events went on Friday afternoon and evening for the 12 and under age groups: 800 free and 400 I.M. Congratulations Holly for achieving another provincial time in her 400 I.M.

Saturday afternoon was a blast. Its started off with Nick T. Getting provincials in his 100 breast followed by Mabel 50 free and Holly 100 fly. Saturday was a great day for provincials for our club.

The relays for 10 and under girls and 11/12 girls were very exciting, and had Yurie and Sergei bouncing around on their seats.

In the 11/12 relay we had Maddi swim back, Holly breast, Mackenzie fly and Julia swam free.Julia helped to beat another team right at the end giving her team a third place ribbon.

In the 10 and under relay we had Olivia swim back, Hannah breast, Rosie fly and Mabel free. Even though the other teams were all ready halfway down the pool Mabel managed to catch the girls up and give them all a gold medal.

Most of us were back at the pool again Sunday. We all continued to show improvement. The 10 and under girls freestyle team swam another great race. They got a third but unfortunately missed a second by .10 of a second.

The meet this weekend was a great success for all of our 12 and under swimmers. In all we took home 22 medals and 23 ribbons for 12 and under.

Thank you Yurie, Rob and Sergei for coaching us so well, we were able to qualify for WOSA. Thank you to our parents for getting us to London.
