Swimming Time Standards
There are three major levels of time standards used: Regional, Provincial and National. Championship meets will typically be held twice per year.
Regional Standards![]() |
The Burlington Aquatic Devilrays are members of the Western Ontario Swimming Association (WOSA). Regional swim meets are held twice a year (early Februardy and early June); one for short course and one for long course, and include all swimmers from WOSA clubs that have met the defined time standards. Swimmers who qualify for Ontario Festivals in an event are dequalified from that event at WOSA. Swimmers need only meet the Long or Short Course WOSA standard regardless of which competition they are trying to qualify for. i.e. you can qualify for WOSA LC with SC times. |
